MA-students invited for research participation

The research project Contested Privates is looking for MA-students to do research on religion and homosexuality in public discourse.

Central to the Contested Privates research project is the oppositional pairing of religion and homosexuality in contemporary public debates in the Netherlands, Sweden, Serbia and Spain. The project is a collaboration of the Amsterdam Center for the Study of Lived Religion at VU University Amsterdam and the Chair of Religion and Gender, Faculty of Humanities, Utrecht University, and is funded by the Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research (NWO). MA students with an interest in religion and sexuality are kindly invited to join this project by writing their MA thesis within the general framework of the project.

The team of the Contested Privates research project is looking for MA students interested to write their MA thesis on the oppositional pairing of religion and homosexuality in public debates in the Netherlands, Sweden, Serbia or Spain. Because of the interdisciplinary approach of the project, students from different academic disciplines in the Humanities (religious studies, Islamic studies, theology, gender studies, queer studies, cultural studies or media studies) are welcome. Students interested in this project can read the instructions and contact the appropriate researcher.
