Cultures

This area of research regards virtual religion, religion in popular culture, religion and ecology, and social media. The central research question is how lived religion emerges in the cultural practices of constructing meaning and identity. Empirical research focuses on religion and cinema, public discourses on religion and homosexuality, religion and social media (including virtual communities), and religion and social/ecological responsibility.
